Seek and Ye Shall Find

King David told his son Solomon, "Know the God of your father and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searcheth the hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts" (2 Chronicles 28:8, KJV). In Proverbs, King Solomon wrote, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10, KJV). In searching for the one thing that will make your day better, you life easier and your time worthwhile the importance of what really matters is lost. Life without God is void of peace. It brings about turmoil and pain. It is torment. King David rightly admonished his son to seek God with a willing mind and heart and King Solomon as an adult acknowledged the peace and safety of trusting in God. If you seek God he will be found. Will you make God your stronghold today?
My prayer for you: Father, you have been gracious and merciful to us even when we fail to put you first. Incline our hearts to seek your face, rest in your peace and love unconditionally. I do not know what each person is facing but I do not that your are a strong tower and those that run to you are safe. Where there is doubt, grant faith. Where there is fear, grant peace and where there is turmoil, grant understanding. Awaken in us the desire to seek you and let us fall in love with you once more. -Amen
