Quiet Reflection

In reflecting on what has transitioned throughout this year I stopped to consider the sheep in the field. An abrupt sound and they are on alert. So what does the end of 2017 mean to me? It makes a quiet sound that puts me on alert. What have I done, could have done better, could do better, did not accomplish or completely missed because I was too busy doing the things that life demands. As I read the book of Ezra, I found that Ezra after reflecting on the condition of his people prepared his heart to seek God and even went further by asking the people that along with him they"...humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions" Ezra 8:21, NKJV.

The end of another year reminds me that I must continue to seek God and His direction not only for me but for my children, grandchildren and aging parents. It reminds me that I should include my family and encourage them to prepare their hearts to come before God as we seek the right way that we should go.

My prayer for you: Beloved, may the end of this year only be a beginning of your journey to seek the father's heart and in this journey may you find yourself humbled before the King. So that He may guide your steps, bless your little ones and grant you grace for each moment.
